This is a hard issue to to try and work out because of the fact that the agriculture that is getting sprayed with the pedicel killer is very important to the way of life for many people. I feel like this is one of those things that can be easily turned into a vicious cycle because they need the food to grow. Its one way that makes sure that they can eat it and that it is worth selling, by using pesticides. I know that a lot of the produce that we buy at grocery stores have produce that are give hormones and have been sprayed with pesdices, because that’s what makes money, “good” looking food that doesn’t look like it has been touched by bugs or anything. I know here it’s hard enough to get produce that isn’t contaminated by chemicals or other things like that because that would make them organic and more expensive. Lots of people tend not to eat fruits and vegetables as much as they should and having to pay more the good actually healthy ones for you doesn’t help the decision to eat better. I’m pretty sure there are laws here in the US about pesdices, like only certain ones are allowed. I think. But it sucks that in India the chemical levels are so high and I’m sure it’s frustrating because there is little that people can do right away. Like most problems it seems, there isn’t a quick fix that can last and be beneficial.
